Salad Leaf Mizuna Seeds

Price £ 2.15

Short description

Mizuna is attractive dark green leaves on long white stems. You can use them uncooked in salads or add to a stir-fry. It has a bitter peppery sort of taste to it. Grow your own tasty colourful salad leaves that are packed full of nutrients. There is nothing quite as special and rewarding as going out to your own garden and selecting homegrown produce to use in your meals. The interest in what we have classed liberally as "Oriental Vegetables" increases every year. They can be used raw in salads, or lightly cooked for use in stir-fries and numerous Chinese style meals. We hope you will be tempted to give something different a try.

WHEN TO SOW

All year round

Where to Sow

What to do next

Cut leaves from each plant leaving some leaves on each so they re-grow. You will often get 3-4 cuttings per plant.

Handy Tip

Early autumn and winter sowings can be made in containers in a cold greenhouse. Or if short of space during the year, sow seeds thinly into containers on a sunny patio.
