Short description

Phyllostachys Nigra is an exceptionally elegant bamboo species characterized by its polished black mature canes and vibrant green leaves. The young canes commence in a green hue and subsequently transform into black. These bamboo plants thrive in soil rich in humus, maintaining a moist yet well-drained environment. They prefer a position that receives either full sun or partial shade. Notably, bamboo serves as an effective windbreak and privacy screen. Due to their fast-growing nature, they require a twice-yearly feeding regimen with blood, fish, and bone. Alternatively, liquid seaweed can be utilized during the growing season. Furthermore, Phyllostachys Nigra is a non-invasive species with a height and spread of approximately 3 meters and 2 meters, respectively.

We only operate in a select area of East & West Sussex​ and are unable to send items across the UK.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre

Once you have added your items to the basket you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect

We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30am and 6pm 7 days a week.

We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.

Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours but sometimes this is not possible.

Local Deliveries

Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre. 

We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only. 

Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
