Short description

BugClear Ultra Vine Weevil Killer is a systemic insecticide compost drench for the control of Vine Weevil in pots, hanging baskets and containers.

This product works in roots and soil protecting the whole plant for up to 2 months as it gets absorbed by the roots and circulates the whole plant, which will also kill whitefly, greenfly, blackfly, scale insects and mealybugs attacking the leaves and other above-ground parts of the plant.

BugClear™ Ultra Vine Weevil Killer should only be used on ornamental and flowering plants from April to September. April and August/September are the vine weevil’s main egglaying times.

Dilute the concentrated liquid as recommended on the label and water it onto the compost.

The 480ml concentrate will treat up to 20 x 20cm (8″) pots.

How to use

  1. Shake the bottle well.
  2. Use the measure provided to mix 60ml of BugClear Ultra Vine Weevil Killer with 1 litre of water in a watering can or mixing vessel.
  3. Pour the solution over the compost at the recommended rate. A litre of solution treats 10 litres of compost. Use guide on back of pack to estimate how much solution to use.

Where to use

Use indoor and outdoor. Indoor can be used all year, while outdoors between April and September.
Ideal for use on flowers, roses, ornamental plants grown in pots and hanging baskets outdoors and in conservatories.

How often to apply

A maximum of 2 treatments may be applied per year.

Cautions

BugClear Ultra Vine Weevil Killer is safe on most plants. It is always advisable to test a sample of plants, by treating them and leaving for at least four weeks, before treating a large or valuable collection.

We only operate in a select area of East & West Sussex​ and are unable to send items across the UK.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre

Once you have added your items to the basket you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect

We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30am and 6pm 7 days a week.

We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.

Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours but sometimes this is not possible.

Local Deliveries

Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre. 

We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only. 

Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
