The caterpillars develop into pupae that wrap themselves in white webbing.

How it works:

The pheromone attracts the male moth into the trap where they cannot escape. Stopping the males from fertilising the females significantly reduces egg laying. The pheromone lures included in this kit are specific to this species of moth. 1 trap should be enough for an average size garden. For larger gardens use additional traps.

Best time to use the trap:

Adults are present between April to October (climate dependent) so this is the optimum time to use the trap. There are several generations of this pest so the trap must be in place for the whole season.

Trap Positioning:

Position at a height of around 1.5m – 2m hung either from box trees or a suitable structure such as a post. If traps are placed in trees, ensure that the entrances remain unblocked and free from leaves.

Trap Maintenance:

Add water to a depth of 3cm with a small dash of washing-up liquid into the bucket of the trap. Check the traps regularly, at least twice a week. Top up the liquid in the bucket to the 3cm depth as and when required. Lures should be changed every 5 weeks to achieve optimum results.

Storage for lures:

Store lures in a cool place away from direct sunlight and heat and do not open until ready to use. Always store lures sealed in original packaging and do not open them until you need to use them. They will last for 1 year when unopened or freezing them will last 2 years.

Click and Collect

We offer a click and collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm 7 days a week.

We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device

Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within an hour but sometimes this is not possible.

Local Deliveries

Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre. All deliveries are from Monday to Friday 9-4. 

We offer curbside/driveway drop off only. 

Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.

E-Gift Card Delivery

  • Delivery for our E-Gift Cards is FREE as it is sent to an email address of your choice.

  • Please note that your E-Gift Card will automatically be sent to the email address provided upon completion of payment.
